Our 'Rural Migrantour: Uskok's heritage trail' is the story of a border that separates and unites at the same time. It leads us in the footsteps of the Uskoks in a marginal, little-known landscape, where complex history meets the magic of the Gorjanci. The challenges of the border are always relevant and the walk allows us to learn about them first hand. The circular route is distinctly panoramic, the karst reliefs reveal wonderful views of Kostanjevica na Krka with the Božidar Jakac Gallery on one side and untamed natural areas on the other. In Črneča vas, we climb to the top of the bell tower of the Watchtower, taste the fruits of the seasons on the forest ridges and occasionally toast with frankinja or cviček, the hallmarks of this area. The route is easy, 7 kilometers long, suitable for children and the elderly. For explorers of untrodden paths, seekers of peace and conscious travelers who want to learn about the causes and consequences of migration in the past and present through the stories of border villages.

Since the natural environment of the Gorjanci offers ideal opportunities for self-care, we can add a picnic basket with local delicacies to the guide if desired, which I choose especially for you from the surrounding farms and which change with the seasons. Tastes and smells are the key to a complete local experience that will not be forgotten.
